Alice James Books is thrilled to welcome Candace Williams to the press! 

Candace’s debut poetry collection I am the Most Dangerous Thing is forthcoming from Alice James Books in May 2023. Big welcome, Candace!

Candace Williams is a poet and interdisciplinary artist. Their debut collection, I am the Most Dangerous Thing, was finalist for the National Poetry Series and is forthcoming from Alice James Books. Candace earned their Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) from Claremont McKenna College and Master of Arts in Education from Stanford University. They grew up in the Pacific Northwest and found poetry in in Brooklyn, New York. Now, Candace lives and makes art in New England.
