Weekends at AJB: A Virtual Masterclass Gathering
with Shara McCallum & Brian Turner

Shara McCallum, author of Madwoman, and Brian Turner, author of Here, Bullet—two of Alice James Books’ most celebrated poets—lead this weekend of writing, readings, and conversation. Over two days, participants will generate new work, engage closely with one another’s poems, and explore questions of craft and process in a small, focused setting. Capped at 20 people, the virtual masterclass blends hands-on writing sessions, collaborative discussion, and open dialogue about what it means to live as a writer.

This masterclass marks the beginning of a new seasonal series from AJB, offering rare access to our community of poets while supporting the press's ongoing work. The gathering is made possible through the generosity of the poets, who are donating their time in support of our mission, and is independent of AJB's publishing program. If interest exceeds capacity, an additional weekend will be offered in the spring.
