Weekends at AJB: A Virtual Masterclass & Generative Workshop
with Ilya Kaminsky & Katie Farris
Ilya Kaminsky, author of Deaf Republic, and Katie Farris, author of Standing in the Forest of Being Alive, come together for this day of writing, reading, and conversation centered on poetry, craft, and the creative process.
Through a mix of generative exercises, conversation, and close engagement with poems, participants will spend the day making new work and thinking alongside one another about the possibilities of poetry. There will be opportunities to share writing, ask questions, and explore craft in a small, focused setting.
No advance reading, writing, or other preparation is required. Just bring your favorite writing implements, your curiosity, and an open spirit.
As a bonus, all participants are invited to join an optional conversation with Carey Salerno at the end of the day.
