The easiest way to support Alice James Books is through an annual subscription plus a $100 donation. With our 2024 subscription cost of $165 for 11 AJB books, subscribers SAVE up to 35% off the cover price and receive automatic shipping of books as they are published. An entire year of Alice James Books + your donation = Subscribe + 100. Renewable annually.
In addition to donations toward AJB’s operating expenses and other funds, the press invites you to sponsor an individual book or books. When you Befriend a Book (with a gift of any amount) you’ll make a personal connection to a specific title, and you’ll receive a unique digital broadside featuring lines from one if its forthcoming poems. Fill out the form to become a book’s friend and choose which title you want to champion.
The Alice Fund was established in 2008 with the intention of preserving the legacy and livelihood of Alice James Books. Over the years, we’ve watched it grow due to the generosity and foresight of people like you.
Mission
The mission of The Alice Fund is to ensure the long-term financial stability and further the long-term strategic goals of Alice James Books.
Management Policy
The Alice Fund maintains a conservative management and investment policy. Fund assets are managed by Western Mountain Financial in Farmington, ME. Each year, up to 5% may be approved by the board to be used as income for ordinary expenses or other special projects.

Your endowment gift ensures a future for poetry and a future for the collaborative publishing process. When you give to preserve our future, you will be ensuring the publication and readership of Alice James books for years and generations to come.
Your gift to the Alice Fund may come in many forms.
