Rosetree

Sabra Loomis

"I'm very taken by the sensibility that informs these poems. Ms. Loomis has somehow found a way to give voice to exquisite areas of consciousness- 'cool and orbed and many-layered,' as one of these poems puts it- that have seldom found expression. How nourishing and delightful it is to walk through the cool rooms and breezy passages of these poems."
—Richard Tillinghast

"These poems ring with the whole life of their poet, in phrasing as delightingly sure as that of good music."
—William Alfred

"Sabra Loomis's poems are full of wonder, like a drop of water or blood on a child's finger held up to the light, and full of yearning too. This magical book records a surprising past, as dreamy and as sharp as fairytales."
—Jean Valentine
