about the author
Susan Snively has published three books of poems: From This Distance, (1981, Alice James Books), Voices in the House (1988, University of Alabama Press), and The Undertow (1998, University of Central Florida Contemporary Poetry Series.) She has also published essays in The Florida Review, The Southern Review, The Tampa Review, and StorySouth, and poems most recently in The Southern Poetry Review, ForPoetry.com, The Vocabula Review, and Prairie Schooner. Her fourth manuscript, Skeptic Traveler, is looking for a publisher. She directs the Writing Center at Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts.
